The space

This 100+ year-old home has three bedrooms on the second floor with a bathroom/shower. The study on the main floor can be used as a fourth bedroom. It has a futon, desk, owner-built credenza and ceiling fan. The adjoining bathroom has a no-step shower, washer, dryer, ironing board and portable shower seat if needed.

There is a large farmhouse dining room table that I built in the dining room. It seats six with the benches and eight if you pull chairs up to the ends. There are extensions that I can provide upon request that will expand capacity to twelve.

The living room is cozy with original hardwoods, a fireplace and smart tv. The staircase to the second floor has a window nook and historic "pocket door" to close off the second floor. The three bedrooms upstairs have original wood floors, ceiling fans and ample closet space. The smallest room facing west tends to get warm on summer nights, so use the blackout shades and supplemental air conditioning located in the master bedroom to cool during the day.

The listing is for the first and second floor of the house with your own entrance and no shared spaces.

Guest access

The driveway can hold 2-3 cars. Please don't drive through the carport since it was built 100 years ago when cars were tiny. There is also street parking.

Neighborhood overview

"Professor's Row" in the heart of the East Campus Community. The street is right across Holdredge from the East Campus of The University of Nebraska-Lincoln. We are about 25 blocks from Memorial Stadium, and one house away froma bus stop.

Many of the neighbors are master gardeners and take pride in beautifying their properties.
